In the heart of a long Siemreap river, our restaurant resides within a treasured wooden Khmer house, lovingly built in 1968 by grandfather's name Chiv Hem, grandmother's name Mavic. This house stands as a symbol of our family's journey. The house is the inheritance from my maternal grandparents grandfather's name Youn Lon and grandmother's name Seng Mai a place where generations have gathered, celebrated, and nurtured traditions that shape who we are today.
Crafted with intricate hand-carved details and traditional Khmer architectural elements, the house reflects the artistry and dedication of the time. The high wooden ceilings, gracefully sloped roof, and intricately latticed windows were all designed to invite light and air, creating a harmonious balance with nature. Every beam and panel tells a story of care, as the materials were sourced locally and chosen with reverence for their durability and beauty.
For decades, this home was filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals prepared by Khmer local chef have more experience, where recipes were passed down and refined. These cherished memories of shared meals inspired us to transform this house into a space where the spirit of Khmer hospitality lives on.
Opening this restaurant has allowed us to honor not only the flavors of our heritage but also the home that nurtured our family's legacy. Each guest who steps inside is welcomed as part of that continuing story, where the past blends seamlessly with the present.
